Heather earned her biology degree from Oklahoma State University and later her Master of Nursing from the University of Oklahoma—but her real education began when she officially jumped into pediatrics back in 2003, first as an inpatient nurse and then as a nurse practitioner in 2007. After starting her career in Tulsa, she and her family spent a few adventurous years in Amarillo before landing in the Houston area in 2014. Now settled in Katy, Heather lives with her husband James and their three kids—Annabelle, Gwennie, and Weston—plus a lively crew of pets (two dogs, three cats, and whatever animal the kids are raising for FFA that year!). Most weekends you’ll find her cheering loudly at a volleyball match or racing to one of Weston’s games. When she’s not on the sidelines, Heather loves being outdoors, traveling (especially for volleyball tournaments), and spending time with friends, family, and anyone who appreciates a good laugh and a full house.
